Trained in Chicago by the top coach to the Lyric Opera singers, my chosen form of music is classical, but I sing jazz tunes to warm up. I used to be a part of a voice, flute and classic guitar trio called Wedding Song that performed for wedding ceremonies from 1983-1993. I then wrote a book for others who wanted to plan their own ceremony music.

I like to take a bolt of fabric that could become a thousand things and make something with my own hands.
I was taught from an early age by my mother on a Singer treadle machine, making a majority of my own clothes by high school.
I have a long waist and long legs, so it was easier to make items to fit my own body, buying a bolt that would make a dress, a skirt or several blouses.
It is wonderful to know how to make your own patterns so as not to be dependent upon what you find off the rack in stores, in pantone colors you may/may not like.
I had my own wedding line, Rose Ferreri Couture, from 2012-2017, comprised of wedding veils, jackets, and “fascinator” hats.

Gardening is therapeutic. Not one of my David Austin roses has ever had killer “black spot.” I also love blue morning glories and fragant moon flowers. My husband made the pergola below for me, and we were married beneath it two years later.
My husband and I love to dance the Nuevo [New]Tango. It is not the traditional seven step tango; it is a free-flowing, interpretive, expressive, passionate dance that is never done the same way twice.

We participate in Toys for Tots, collecting toys from 10 fire stations and our local country club, where we set out an additional ten boxes in Dec. 2022. I also sew and crochet children’s clothing for the local women and children’s shelter.
My husband is a former USMC police officer. I was taught to shoot by a pro.

In both pics above I was 25 feet from my stationary target. Taken 2/21/2023.
I am a firm believer in a woman knowing how to protect herself. Yes, I do have my conceal carry permit.
